Today you almost got a picture of the crocuses budding on Maple Street, but my nose hurts, and my census form hasn't come yet, and I'm grumpy about those things, so I did not go out and take the aforementioned picture. Instead you are getting chickadees from a few weeks ago when there was still snow on the ground.
I like the bottom one. He seems jaunty. I do wonder though whether they aren't both embarrassed to show up to the party in the same outfit. I guess all chickadees shop at the same store.
It just occurred to me how far from St. Patricky this post is. Hold on.
That should do it.

I want a bird like that - he/she is wonderfully cute.
Not too sure about the aerodynamics of flying while wearing the hat, though. I'm sure that the cuteness factor would override any wobbly flying, though.
Are you excited about the census too???
Anonymous: Should you be interested in other clothed animals, you will enjoy the link Ivan sent me the other day: http://www.neatorama.com/2010/03/16/a-squirrels-guide-to-fashion/
Perhaps "enjoy" is too strong. It's more like something you look at and go "hmm" and shake your head.
Megan: Yes! I really am! I am my own household!
The link to the squirrels was great! That was one very patient squirrel, or else it was 4 or 5 stuffed squirrels. I prefer to think it was the former.
Since we are on the topic of cute animals, you might want to take a look at:

Glad that you get to be your own household! Stand up and be counted!
I am amused because that link made me think "This is something Megan would like" and then Megan sent it to me, too. Nobody can resist sleepy animals. Although I do wonder, why are they all trying to hard to stay awake? What have they got to do that's so pressing?
