Someone who would probably appreciate a plant named Hugh

a coworker walks into my bay in plugs in a fire wire drive. it shows up on the desktop with the name "Tree".
Ivan: do you name all your drives with a nature theme?
Coworker: No, I like to name them after simple things that I enjoy. I have one named "Ring" and one named "King" and
Ivan: let me stop you right there-- do you name all your drives after vague Lord of the Rings references?
Coworker: (laughs) not always-- I used to have one named Warp Drive and
Ivan: let me stop you again, because I need a moment to contemplate the AWESOMENESS of that statement.

Speaking of Hugh, I was thinking of getting another cyclamen. Now I think I will get two and name them Data and Lore. I'll be able to tell them apart because Data won't use contractions.

If I buy a cyclamen and name it Noonian, can I force Simon to visit? =D

I am embarrassed to say I had to look that up to figure out what you were talking about. But now that I know, that really doesn't change the fact that I would probably visit whether you had a cyclamen or not. Unless you did have one and named it Q. I do not like Q and would never go near anything associated with Q. Q is dangerous, and also, that same guy played someone in favor of a flag-burning amendment on the West Wing. Q just WOULD be a Republican posing as a Democrat.

I will pretend for the sake of our friendship that your opinions of Q are unknown to me, and we must never speak of this again.
